  • Press and hold the Power button and the volume up button together to pull up the power menu.
  • Now tap on the Restart option in the popup menu to restart your phone.

Once the phone restarts try calling someone to see if the issue persists. If yes, try the next solution.

2. Refresh Cellular Settings With Airplane Mode

Refreshing the cellular settings of your Pixel 7/7 Pro can fix the problem. Usually, the success rate of this method is very high, but in certain cases, the issue may reappear after a couple of hours. There is no harm in trying the method. All you need to do is toggle the Airplane Mode on and off.

Here is how you do that:

  • Go to Settings and then tap on Network and Internet.
  • On the next screen tap on the toggle switch next to Airplane Mode to turn it ON.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then tap on the toggle switch again to turn off the Airplane Mode.

Now check whether the problem has been resolved or not.

3. Check For Call Drop in Safe Mode

Third-party apps are often culprits for many problems including call drops. The best thing to do is to reboot your Pixel 7/7 Pro in Safe Mode and make a call. If the call drop issue is resolved in Safe Mode, you must remove the recently installed third-party apps.

Here is how you enter Safe Mode:

  • Long press the Power button to pull up the power menu.
  • Long press the Power Off icon to pull up the Reboot to Safe Mode popup.
  • Now tap OK and wait for the phone to reboot into Safe Mode.

Once the phone has rebooted into Safe Mode and the SIM is detected, make a call and check whether the call drop issue has been solved or not.

4. Disable 5G and Enable 4G

Google Pixel 7/7 Pro supports 3G, 4G, and 5G. The default option is 5G. However, 5G is still very new and there are stability issues. You can experience call drops while using the 5G network. Switching to 4G can resolve this issue. Here is how you can switch:

  • Go to the Settings app and then tap on Network and Internet.
  • Then, on the next screen, tap on SIMs.
  • On the following screen, tap on Preferred Network Type.
  • On the popup tap and select 4G.

Once you change the network from 5G to 4G, reboot your phone normally and then call someone to check whether the call drop issue has been resolved or not.

5. Disable 2G

Surprise! 2G is still active on your Pixel 7/7 Pro. This can conflict with the newer 4G and 5G networks and lead to call drops. Since, in all likelihood, you will never need 2G, you can safely turn off the option and check whether the problem has been resolved or not.

Here is how you turn off 2G:

  • Go to the Settings app and then tap on Network and Internet.
  • Then tap on SIMs and select the SIM from the list.
  • Now disable the toggle switch next to Allow 2G.

Once you have disabled 2G, restart your phone and call someone to check whether the issue has been resolved or not.

6. Reset Network Settings

Resetting network settings will delete all previous settings and take your phone back to the original network settings. Resetting network settings can fix call drop issues. Here is how you perform a network setting reset:

  • Go to and Settings app and then tap on Advanced
  • On the next screen, tap on Reset Options.
  • On the following screen, tap on Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, & Bluetooth.
  • Finally, tap on the Reset Settings button.

If none of the solutions above work for you, take your phone to an authorized service center.
